24.com is hiring! We are looking for a Product Manager with experience in digital publishing and platform management, to join the product team. The Product Manager will assume responsibility for platform-wide projects to drive strategic imperatives for Media24’s digital publishing business.


Minimum Requirements
• 3-5 years’ experience with agile development processes in a Product Manager role and/or digital project management skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Tracking, Tagging and/or Integration in five or more of the following:
- Display Advertising (Sizmek, Atlas, DCM, DFP Premium, Facebook)
- Rich Media Vendors (Celtra, DBCLK Studio)
- Email/CRM
- Native Advertising (Outbrain, Taboola, Nativo, DFP)
- Video Players (JW Player, Kaltura, Brightcove)
- DMP platforms
- Programmatic (RTB, Direct, DSP, SSP)
- Site Analysis/Debugging
- WordPress
- TMS (GTM, Tealium, Ensighten, TagCommander, Brighttag)
• Experience working on mobile web and app products.
• Team leadership skills in a digital environment.
• A relevant university degree or diploma.

Skills & Competencies
• Outstanding project management and/or product management abilities.
• Functional and conversant understanding of fundamental web technologies such as PHP, JavaScript, SQL, responsive design, and API services.
• Knowledge about the latest web and mobile technology and publishing trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical proficiency.
• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans
• Advanced data and analytical skills (comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets etc.)
• Self-motivated/able to work under ad-hoc pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assume overall responsibility for the planning and implementation of platform-wide projects at 24.com.
• Assume overall responsibility for the integration of ad-serving, reporting and tracking technology across the 24.com network.
• Develop product road maps to enhance the 24.com platform’s proficiencies in the areas of data management, commercial functionality, content management and distribution, reporting and analytics, and third-party integrations as and when necessary.
• Liaise with necessary stakeholders across the Digital Publishing business to interpret, guide and refine requirements in advance of product planning and development in order to insure products of a high standard are planned, produced and maintained.
• Manage the requirements backlog for said projects, ensuring deliverables are clearly described and explained for developers to implement.
• Liaise with architects and senior developers to ensure projects have been effectively communicated to the development team, and similarly with editorial, commercial and sales to ensure campaigns, launches and requirements are effectively understood and implemented according to deadline.
• Liaise with the necessary ad-ops teams, development teams, design teams and operations teams during the development of new features and products in the agile process, and ensure products are rolled out to users timeously and to a high standard.
• Work with the product team to assist in the roll-out of new products and features across the broader 24.com product suite
